So this is what it's like to post a blog. This is all very new to me, as I always thought it was weird to post online about your life to complete strangers... yet here I am! I started this blog to share things that I find interesting, basically. But also to post vlogs, and videos of various projects that I am involved in. As you may have guessed, I am an actress! (Yes, AM, not, "aspiring", because that makes anyone look like an amateur). I have read A LOT of books lately written by my favorite ladies, Lena Dunham, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling, to name a few. And what I love most about these women, is that they made their success happen for themselves. They didn't wait for an agent to notice them at the mall and exclaim, "You should be an actress!" And then magically end up on television. I use to be the kind of person that wished that would happen to me. But what good is that? The real triumphant feeling of success that I get, is when I make something happen by myself. These women all wrote roles for themselves. I find that extremely inspiring. I have been on a number of auditions and involved in indie films without any agent getting me the auditions. Virtually anyone can make it happen. I have never been a "writer", but I definitely know what kind of characters I want to portray, so myself, and a few of my friends (222 Footlight Productions) made the decision to make it happen for ourselves. What you will see here is the journey that is going to take us on. I will be sharing things related to acting and what I'm up too in the acting world, but also behind the scene vlogs, short films, web series, mediocre makeup tutorials, stuff I think is fashionable, and to an extent, my personal life. My hope for this blog is to inspire people to also just get up, and make whatever dream they have, a reality. Sounds corny, but it is possible, I am a firm believer in that. Enjoy!
